COLORS

I'm feeling very colorful today!

It started this morning, I felt like a rainbow.

There was nothing to eat, so I ate some hay.

I should have waited, mom told me to hold.

my stomach feels jumbled, my colors mixed.

my stomach growing mold, mom said it's just a cold.

but since it's burning up today, I think I'll go out and play.

How Fawn Got Her Name

Once upon a time, there was a little
girl . She loved to play and frolic with the
deer fawns. The other deer did not like this,
so they chased her away. Now the little girl
had no one to play with. When ever she got
close they chased her away. One day, while
she was whittling a fishing spear, she saw
ten wolfs circling the deer fawns. No one
noticed, but her. She screamed. She shouted.
No one heard her,she was too far away. She started
too sob. In the middle of her sobbing she looked
down to see the spear on the ground. She picked
it up firmly. She ran toward the biggest wolf and
cut him. He squealed in pain, getting all the
deers attention. They quickly ran to protect their
young. The wolf leader gave a signal and the wolfs
turned to attack HER! She dropped the spear and ran
as fast as she could.Suddenly she tripped, and fell
headfirst into the river! She was swept down the
river, and landed at the deer leaders feet! "you
have been brave young Fawn." he said as he lead
her back to the herd. From then on she was part
of the herd.

Up in Montana

Up in Montana where horses neigh
and roll around in the golden hay

Where children run in the grassy field
a gentle breeze nipping at their heels

Where deer run and jump a fence
in the backyard by the stony bench

As the dinner bell rings cling cling cling
and we all run to eat under the moons bright shining

And we talk as we eat
and we laugh as we feast

All a days work all a days night
let our dreams take off in flight

That's a day up in Montana
