Some people enjoy the cloudy sky

Or a starry moonless night

Or perhaps a rainy day

But not i,

I adore the cloudless sky

see the stallion
as he races through the field
don't move to close
or with a cloud of dust
and the pound of hooves
he will go
leaving only footprints
to remind of his graceful prance

I had a great Easter. I had my nephew Garrett over he seemed enthusiastic about hunting for eggs.(even in the rain!) He was sooo adorable! It was hilarious when he dropped the Easter eggs that had jellybeans in them, but he had plenty of candy anyway. Hope you had a happy Easter!

Hey I have another poem for you!

Have You Ever?

Have you ever walked a pirates plank,
into a sea of shining gold?
Have you ever met a superstar,
on a night when it's freezing cold?

Have you ever been inside a balloon,
that was very hard to pop?
Have you ever been on a roller coaster,
That would never stop?

Have you ever been to space,
And seen the world stand still?
Have you ever done any of these things?
No? Someday I will.

boating

We were planning to go to Santa Cruz because of Carson's fourth grade mission due, but we ended up boating instead. The plan changed due to miscalculations in the time it took to get there. We thought it would take roughly three hours to get there but Jill (our garmin) misinformed us and said it would take around five hours! So we visited our cousins James and Josie and boated out at Half Moon Bay. I had a blast! I even got to steer the boat and learn many facts about osprey, pelicans, eels, and of course boats.

COLORS

I'm feeling very colorful today!

It started this morning, I felt like a rainbow.

There was nothing to eat, so I ate some hay.

I should have waited, mom told me to hold.

my stomach feels jumbled, my colors mixed.

my stomach growing mold, mom said it's just a cold.

but since it's burning up today, I think I'll go out and play.

How Fawn Got Her Name

Once upon a time, there was a little
girl . She loved to play and frolic with the
deer fawns. The other deer did not like this,
so they chased her away. Now the little girl
had no one to play with. When ever she got
close they chased her away. One day, while
she was whittling a fishing spear, she saw
ten wolfs circling the deer fawns. No one
noticed, but her. She screamed. She shouted.
No one heard her,she was too far away. She started
too sob. In the middle of her sobbing she looked
down to see the spear on the ground. She picked
it up firmly. She ran toward the biggest wolf and
cut him. He squealed in pain, getting all the
deers attention. They quickly ran to protect their
young. The wolf leader gave a signal and the wolfs
turned to attack HER! She dropped the spear and ran
as fast as she could.Suddenly she tripped, and fell
headfirst into the river! She was swept down the
river, and landed at the deer leaders feet! "you
have been brave young Fawn." he said as he lead
her back to the herd. From then on she was part
of the herd.
